Privacy Policy
TheHumanWorth is a place to read, watch and think. We ask you for as little as possible, we keep it safe, and we never sell it. This policy sets out exactly what we hold and why.
1. What we ask you for
The only personal information we ask for is your email address, together with a name you choose. If you sign in with Google, Google gives us your email address and the name on your Google account; you can change the name on your account page.
We do not ask for your postal address, telephone number, date of birth or any other personal details.
2. What your account records
To run your account, we keep:
- your membership plan and its dates, and the courses you have bought;
- the articles, videos and courses you add to your favorites;
- where downloads are offered, a record of the files you download.
These records are used only to provide your account, membership and purchases.
3. How we use your email address
We use your email address:
- to send the one-time verification codes you request to sign up or sign in;
- to manage your account, membership and purchases;
- to reply when you write to us;
- for members, to let you know when new content is published, which you can ask us to stop at any time;
- to tell you about important changes to our terms or to your membership.
We never sell, rent, publish or disclose your email address to any third party for their own use, and we do not send you marketing email without your consent.
4. Payments
Payments are processed by our merchant of record, Dodo Payments. Your card and billing details go directly to Dodo Payments and never reach us; we receive only confirmation of the payment, its amount and what it was for. Dodo Payments handles your payment information under its own privacy policy.
5. Your choices and deleting your account
You can change your name on your account page and log out at any time. You may also write to us to ask what information we hold about you.
You can delete your account at any time from your account page. Your account is closed at once, and all data linked to it, including your email address, name, membership, purchase records, favorites, messages and sign-in records, is permanently erased. Any membership or course access on the account ends when the account is deleted. Payment records held by our merchant of record are kept by them as the law requires.
6. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will publish the new version on this page with its date, and we will tell members by email of any material change.
